Successful Polycorp Special Trackwork Encapsulation Lay-Down at VAE Nortrak

Polycorp Engineering attended the TrackJacketTM Encapsulation lay-down for the Houston Rapid Transit (HRT) 4 Corridor Expansion Project at VAE Nortrak in Alabama. This particular section of special trackwork is a curved crossing assembly for the downtown corridor. Both VAE Nortrak and HRT were present and commented on how clean the TrackJacketTM Encapsulation looked, with ever increasing craftsmanship in the detail areas. No fit or function issues were noted. Specialty components, such as transition cuffs, flangeway formers, canted ties, railboot and ancillary materials are also being supplied by Polycorp to provide a completely encapsulated system between the special trackwork sections and the standard “other track material” (OTM). Polycorp supplies all the OTM directly to HRT.

Liners for the Grinders - Pramod Kumar, Director Mining Division, discusses rubber liner developments. Rubber Liners are now being used in SAG and AG mills up to 32' diameter. The big advance is that using rubber enahnces the mill throughput.
