To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fastest-Growing Companies in Canada, the PROFIT 500 has expanded to include the entrepreneurial achievements of forward thinking small businesses and honour their talents and achievements.
PROFIT 500 ranks Canadian businesses by their revenue growth over five years.
Polycorp Ltd. made the PROFIT 500 list, ranking 445th with five-year revenue growth of 81%.

Polycorp donated the swings in support of the Power of Play project championed by Andy Speers to build a fully accessible playground at Strait Park in Elora.

Ontario/Canada Mining Mission to Turkey & Kazakhstzan Nov 29 - Dec 6

The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation in partnership with the Canadian Consulate in Instanbul Turkey has organized an Ontario/Canada mining mission inconjuntion with Mining Turkey 2012 which will take place in Istanbul Turkey, November 29-December 2, 2012.
The Mining Mission will also travel to Kazakhstan December 3 - 6 to discuss opportunities in the mining industry. The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation has organized meetings in conjuntion with the Canadian Embassy in Astana Kazakhstan.
Pramod Kumar, Director Mining, will be representing Polycorp at this outreach program.

Successful Polycorp Special Trackwork Encapsulation Lay-Down at VAE Nortrak

Polycorp Engineering attended the TrackJacketTM Encapsulation lay-down for the Houston Rapid Transit (HRT) 4 Corridor Expansion Project at VAE Nortrak in Alabama. This particular section of special trackwork is a curved crossing assembly for the downtown corridor. Both VAE Nortrak and HRT were present and commented on how clean the TrackJacketTM Encapsulation looked, with ever increasing craftsmanship in the detail areas. No fit or function issues were noted. Specialty components, such as transition cuffs, flangeway formers, canted ties, railboot and ancillary materials are also being supplied by Polycorp to provide a completely encapsulated system between the special trackwork sections and the standard “other track material” (OTM). Polycorp supplies all the OTM directly to HRT.

Liners for the Grinders - Pramod Kumar, Director Mining Division, discusses rubber liner developments. Rubber Liners are now being used in SAG and AG mills up to 32' diameter. The big advance is that using rubber enahnces the mill throughput.
