EPFLEX® Railseal/Enclosure
Combination The Next Level of Innovation
The Epflex® Railseal/Enclosure Combination
System isolates the rail from the surrounding roadbed and provides
numerous benefits for both the Transit Authority and the motoring
public.
Superior Raw Materials (A)
Polycorp uses quality polymers specifically designed for the harsh
environment found at the rail/concrete interface.
Noise Reduction (B)
The rail is completely encased with vibration damping, elastomeric
polymer. The unique profile, combined with the elasticity of the rubber,
reduces vibration caused by passing street cars.
Track Movement (C)
The elastomeric compression of the Rail Enclosure controls the amount
of rail movement prohibiting transfer of destructive forces to the
concrete roadway.
Stray Current Control (D)
Electrically resistive polymer prohibits the return current from interfering
with adjacent utilities. Corrosion and associated maintenance costs
caused by electrolysis are significantly reduced.
Minimal Detours (E)
Our “Combination System” allows for access to the rail
and fasteners without roadwork. Car stop locations can be re-railed
virtually over night.
